I suppose itapos;s time for an update. Particularly since, you know, things are happening in the world of Meg.

Point the First:

I AM A COG IN THE CORPORATE MACHINE.

Got a job, though itapos;s just a temp job (though a temp job with no set end point which is both good and bad...?). Full time hours, decent pay. Itapos;s a data entry position and the work is actually not at all bad. The whole thing would be quite bearable but for two things.

Thereapos;s a commute, though not an atrocious one. I just hate being bound to someone elseapos;s schedule.

Aaaand thereapos;s the hours.

It starts at 6:45.

I would be much more obliging if there wasnapos;t a commute. Ah well, itapos;s just a job and Iapos;m still hoping something better might come through with some place closer. And if nothing does, the bottom line is I can do this job, crazed hours and all. At least theyapos;re regular hours.


Point the Second:

After some discussion, a few tentative pokes around, and a chat with a prof tonight...

Next year, Iapos;m going back to the U of O to get my MA in Folklore Studies, provided all goes well in the getting in. And from the chat I had with an old professor of mine, Iapos;ve got a very good shot of getting in so long as I get all the shit and get it in on time.

Gonna have to take the GRE. THAT is lame, but thatapos;s how it goes.


Otherwise.... Rediscovered the mana series... Poking writing and RP... So yeah, everything about normal beyond that, though Iapos;ll have less time for the fun things, but at least Iapos;ll be less poor.
